(2018's upon approval)
The Lethbridge Rebels Spring Hockey program is excited to announce the return of our Rebels Rookie Development Program for the upcoming 2024 Spring Hockey Season. This program for 2015-2017 birth year athletes (2018 birth years may apply for special permission) is focused on developing high quality hockey skills, fundamentals, and experiences in a positive and competitive environment, building confidence, and personal & athletic growth. Our spring season will start in late March and continue until late May. All players will receive 8 on ice practice sessions, 2 off ice dry land sessions, and a Rebels TM athletic t-shirt. All ice sessions will run Friday evening to Sunday evening, allowing athletes a chance to participate in other sports or activities. A possibility to play in some exhibition games or a tournament may exist for an additional cost. If this opportunity arises, families are not obligated to participate whatsoever.
The goal of this program is to support young players to build the foundations to love the game and learn the fundamentals to be a successful player. On ice instruction for this program will be led by Fred Jack, our hockey programs coordinator. Fred will be assisted by his son, British Columbia Junior A player - Braeden Jack. These two do a tremendous job of leading high quality on ice sessions. Other guest coaches will join these skill sessions designed by Fred and Braeden using skills programs such as Power Edge Pro, and Hockey Canada power skating fundamentals.
Cost will be $275 per participant. Rebels or Pinnacle jerseys are mandatory. If you require one, that cost is an additional $25. Please register using the online form below or send payments via e-transfer to [email protected].
